The Bakersfield Police Department said a semi-truck was traveling north on Wible Road when they collided with Torres, who was riding a bicycle westbound on Planz Road

Bakersfield, CA – The bicyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Bakersfield on April 26 has been identified as Leonardo Torres, 57, of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The incident took place on Wible Road at Planz Road at about 5:58 p.m.
The Bakersfield Police Department said a semi-truck was traveling north on Wible Road when they collided with Torres, who was riding a bicycle westbound on Planz Road.
Torres was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator of the big rig initially left the scene after the crash but later returned.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
