Mesa, AZ. – A police officer was injured after being rear-ended by a car near Mesa on Saturday night.
The collision happened at Loop 202 and McDowell Road, according to the Mesa Police Department.
The officer had just finished a traffic stop when his patrol vehicle was rear-ended by another car.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities say the female driver of the second car will be tested for impairment.
