San Jose, CA. – A woman was killed in a collision that happened early Sunday morning in Sunnyvale.
The deadly collision happened around 1:27 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 north of Fair Oaks Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The unidentified woman was driving a car at a high rate of speed when she rear-ended another car. The woman pulled over and started walking on the highway when she was struck by a passing car.
The woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The 23-year-old driver who struck the woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
