Phoenix, AZ – A woman was hospitalized with critical injuries after crash sends a vehicle into into a fire hydrant in west Phoenix on Wednesday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The crash took place at about 7:30 a.m. on 75th and Virginia Avenues.
Police said one vehicle had major front-end damage while the other began to sink into a muddy sinkhole that had formed due to water from the sheared hydrant.
A woman was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
