Several Pedestrians Hurt after 2-Car Crash near Tatum and Shea Boulevards in Phoenix

, AZ. – Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle collision that injured three pedestrians near an intersection in Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.

According to a police report, the incident happened at around 1 p.m. on May 8 near Tatum and Shea Boulevards.

Two vehicles collided near the intersection in unclear circumstances. One of the cars reportedly struck three pedestrians.

One person was trapped underneath one of the vehicles and had to be extricated.

Three pedestrians and the driver of one of the cars were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Tatuma Boulevard was closed from Shea Boulevard to Desert Cove Avenue during the on-scene investigation.

No additional information about the wreck was provided.

An investigation is underway.
