Reports indicated that a man was driving a southbound grey Nissan SUV on the highway when for unknown reasons he veered into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a silver Lexus SUV

Sacramento, CA. – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on State Route 160 in Sacramento early Saturday morning.
According to the authorities, the incident happened at around 12:15 a.m. on May 11 on Highway 160 at Sherman Island Road.
Reports indicated that a man was driving a southbound grey Nissan SUV on the highway when for unknown reasons he veered into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a silver Lexus SUV.
The Nissan driver and a female passenger both died from their injuries. A three-month-old child and a five-year-old were taken to a Bay Area hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the Lexus had major injuries and was taken to an East Bay hospital.
Police said alcohol might have played a factor in the crash.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
