Stockton, CA. – A bicyclist died after being struck by a car early Tuesday morning on a freeway in Stockton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident was reported around 3:09 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway, just north of the Hammer Lane off-ramp.
A cyclist was riding in the No. 1 lane when they were struck by a white Lexus sedan. The driver of the car pulled on the right shoulder after the collision.
The bicyclist died from injuries sustained in the accident.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
