Corvallis, OR – A police officer was injured in a collision involving a suspected DUI driver in Corvallis early Sunday morning, according to the Corvallis Police Department.
The wreck took place at Highway 99 West and NE Conifer Boulevard at about 1:30 a.m. May 12.
Authorities said the patrol vehicle was slowing down to make a turn at the intersection when it was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Amanda Johnston, 24, of Albany.
The officer was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Johnston was arrested on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving.
The accident is under investigation.
