Coos County, OR. – 63-year-old Tracy Martin Goforth of Gold Beach was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on US 101 in Coos County Monday afternoon.
According to the OSP, the US 101 accident was reported at around 4:35 p.m. on May 13 on Highway 101 near milepost 250.
The preliminary investigation indicated a northbound Nissan Frontier, operated by Goforth, crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a Toyota Prius driven by Ronald Willam Lyons, 76, of Bandon.
The Nissan came to rest in the northbound lane while the Prius spun in the southbound lane and nearly collided head-on with a Toyota Venza, operated by Dennis Joseph Dugan, 70, of Bandon.
Goforth was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead.
Ronald Lyons and passenger, Delia Villarreal Lyons, 73, of Bandon, were transported due to injuries suffered during the crash.
Dennis Dugan and passenger, Mary Therese Dugan,69, of Bandon, were transported due to injuries suffered during the crash.
No additional details about the crash were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
