Salmon Creek, WA – A pedestrian from Oregon was hit and Injured by a vehicle in Salmon Creek on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash occurred on I-205 South near 134th Street at around 3:30 p.m. May 15.

The WSP said Jason Rivera Peinado, 18, of Gresham, Oregon, had parked his vehicle along I-205 South when he stepped into the roadway and was hit by a tractor-trailer that was driven by Martin J. Gorton, 60, of Vancouver.

According to the report, Rivera Peinado was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver with unspecified injuries.

Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The accident is under investigation.
