Fresno County, CA: – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Fresno County Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened at about 2:10 p.m. May 16, 2024, at the intersection of De Wolf and North Avenues near Sanger.

According to the CHP, a Mitsubishi was heading northbound on De Wolf approaching a posted stop sign at the intersection with North Avenue.

At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado truck was heading eastbound on North approaching the intersection with De Wolf, and had the right-of-way.

Reportedly, the Mitsubishi ran the stop sign and drove directly into the path of the Chevrolet truck and the two vehicles collided.

Two people – a man and a woman – in the Mitsubishi sustained injuries and were declared dead at the scene, as per the CHP.

Two people in the truck were transported to Community Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
