According to the report, the pedestrian was hit by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Train traveling southbound

Hollywood, CA – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in North Hollywood on Saturday morning, according to a report by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident took place in the 6900 block of Vineland Avenue, just north of Vanowen Street at around 9:44 a.m.
According to the report, the pedestrian was hit by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Train traveling southbound.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There were nearly 150 passengers on the train and none of them were hurt.
No further details were released.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
