Buckeye, AZ – The motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle near Buckeye early Friday morning has been identified as Alexander Panerio, 28, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
The incident took place at about 4:30 a.m. May 24, on Baseline Road and Maricopa County Road 85.
According to the report, Panerio was riding a motorcycle when he tried to overtake a semi that was attempting to make a left turn into a private drive.
Panerio crashed into the semi and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The semi spilled diesel onto the roadway following the accident.
The crash remained under investigation.
