Seattle, WA. – A 63-year-old woman died after she was hit by a car Sunday night near an intersection in Seattle's Chinatown International District.
The incident took place around 11:27 p.m. near 12th Avenue South and South Weller Street.
According to Seattle police, the woman was hit by a car in the area under unclear circumstances.
Emergency personnel found the pedestrian in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. The victim was treated at the scene and then transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. The woman died later while receiving treatment.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. They were not injured.
An investigation is ongoing.
