Hawthorne, CA. – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 405 in Hawthorne, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision took place at about 2:33 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate just south of W El Segundo Boulevard.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident.
One driver complained of pain to the neck and back. Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the patient. It was unclear if the victim was hospitalized.
CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
