Phoenix, AZ. – A woman was killed in a car crash that left a man injured on Wednesday afternoon in north Phoenix.
The fatal crash happened around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Jomax Road and Tatum Boulevard, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
A vehicle was traveling northbound on Tatum Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn onto Jomax Road when it crashed into a vehicle traveling southbound on Tatum Boulevard.
Shirley June Goodspeed, 87, was a passenger in the northbound car and was transported to the hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
An unidentified man was transported to a nearby hospital and was admitted in stable condition.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
