Santa Barbara, CA. – Two people were hospitalized after a traffic collision involving a bus and a pickup truck that happened Thursday night in Santa Barbara.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the accident occurred around 11:25 p.m. on Highway 154 near Stagecoach Road.
Emergency personnel from the fire department and AMR responded to the scene and found a pickup truck that had collided with a bus from the Chumash Casino Resort.
The man driving the pickup truck and a woman riding as a passenger on the bus sustained moderate injuries. Both were taken by AMR ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Investigators shut down Highway 154 in both directions for about 90 minutes following the collision.

A pickup truck and a semi-truck were recovered at the accident scene. The events leading up to the accident, however, were not immediately established.
