Oakdale, CA. – Authorities are investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision on Orange Blossom Road in Oakdale Thursday evening.
The wreck happened at around 5:30 p.m. on Orange Blossom Road near Wamble Road, according to the authorities.
Reportedly, a 23-year-old Ceres man was speeding a Ford Mustang on Orange Blossom Road when he veered over the solid yellow line to avoid rear-ending a car in front of him that was about to make a right turn and collided head-on with an oncoming Jeep.
The man, whose name was not disclosed, died at the scene.
The Jeep driver suffered severe injuries and was rushed to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment. Her passenger, a 4-year-old boy sustained minor injuries.
The wreck remains under investigation.
