Police said two vehicles collided in the area and one of them caught fire on East Panama Lane and Sparks Street

Bakersfield, CA – Two people were hurt in a collision at an intersection in South Bakersfield on Sunday night, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The wreck took place at about 10:30 p.m. June 9, near East Panama Lane and Sparks Street.
Police said two vehicles collided in the area and one of them caught fire.
Both drivers were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Police said DUI is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
