Michael Stroup Jr. was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he later died
Phelan, CA. – 20-year-old Michael Allen Stroup Jr. has been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner as the man who died in a collision involving an ATV quad last week in Phelan.
The fatal collision happened around 12:56 p.m. on June 7, on Highway 138, between Rancho Del La Garto and Kruse Drive.
The California Highway Patrol says the man was riding an ATV in the area when he was struck by a 2024 Nissan Rogue.
Stroup was thrown from the ATV in the collision.
He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he later died.
The Nissan driver was treated for minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
