At around 1 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a car crash near the 8800 block of Baseline Road.
A 57-year-old man from Plumas Lake was driving a Volvo and was slowing down to make a turn when he was struck by an oncoming Nissan Rogue driven by the 23-year-old man.
The impact of the collision sent the Nissan off the roadway where it overturned several times.
