Phoenix, AZ – A woman was killed in a collision involving a fuel tanker in Phoenix on Monday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The wreck took place on State Route 202 South Mountain Freeway, just north of Buckeye Road at about 10:38 p.m. June 17.
According to the report, a 38-year-old woman was driving in the area when she slammed into the rear of a commercial fuel tanker.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No further details were released.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
