Police said Gaul was in the southbound lanes when he was hit by a 2018 Kia Sedona before being struck by a northbound Hyundai Kona.

Portland, Oregon – 61-year-old Ronald J. Gaul has been identified as the man killed in a pedestrian collision on February 5 in Portland, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
The accident happened at around 6:30 p.m. at the Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northeast Gertz Road intersection.
Police said Gaul was in the southbound lanes when he was hit by a 2018 Kia Sedona before being struck by a northbound Hyundai Kona.
The 57-year-old male Kia driver and the 29-year-old male Hyundai driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
No arrests were made following the collision.
An investigation by the Major Crash Team is ongoing.
