According to CHP, a silver Mazda CX9 slammed into the back of a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.

Lancaster, CA. – One person was severely injured in a semi-truck accident that took place Wednesday evening in Lancaster, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck occurred around 7:18 p.m. on southbound State Route 14 near West Avenue K.
According to CHP, a silver Mazda CX9 slammed into the back of a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.
The driver of the Mazda was possibly trapped inside after the crash.
First responders found the motorist awake and responsive with serious injuries. The patient was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
All southbound lanes were blocked following the collision. Traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Avenue K. All lanes were reopened at 8:28 p.m.
CHP officers are investigating the accident.
