Police said a 45-year-old man from Dixie, Washington was heading northbound on State Route 125 when he drove into the southbound lane and slammed head-on into a vehicle.

College Place, WA. – 23-year-old Alexis Delatorre of Walla Walla has been identified as the man killed in a head-on collision on Wednesday morning in College Place.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred at the State Route 125 and Commercial Drive intersection at about 10:00 a.m. on June 19.
Police said a 45-year-old man from Dixie, Washington was heading northbound on State Route 125 when he drove into the southbound lane and slammed head-on into a vehicle.
The vehicle driver, Delatorre, suffered fatal injuries in the accident.
The Dixie man sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
No arrests have been made and police are yet to determine why the man crossed into Delatorre's lane.
Authorities closed State Route 125 a while before 4:00 p.m. to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway.
