San Jose, CA. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Monday morning near an intersection in San Jose, the San Jose police said.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the area of Newhall Street and the Alameda.
Police said a motorcyclist collided with a car under unclear circumstances.
The male rider was hospitalized in critical condition. It was reported that the victim later died from his injuries.
Investigators closed the Alameda between Idaho Street and Interstate 880 while working the scene.
Units are currently investigating a major injury vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle in the area of the Alameda and Newhall. The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital with major injuries and is in critical condition.
