Marion County, OR. – 56-year-old Martin Cabanas Salgado was killed in a pedestrian crash last week early Tuesday morning on Highway 211 in Marion County.
According to the Oregon State Police, the incident was reported at around 12:06 p.m. June 18 on State Route 211 near milepost 1.
Reportedly, Keoki Kahee, 23, of Canby was driving an eastbound Kia Soul on the highway when for unknown reasons he struck Salgado.
Salgado was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Kahee and the passenger 22-year-old Taylor Hayes of Canby were unhurt. They remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
No additional information about the crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
