The fatal pedestrian accident happened around 11 p.m. in the 300 block of W Chase Avenue, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
A man believed to be in his 50s or 60s was struck by a white 2020 Toyota Tacoma.
The unidentified man died at the accident scene.
The truck driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
