, CA. – The Coroner's Office said Jesus Guillen, 16, was one of the four people killed in a crash that happened early Friday morning in Upland involving a car being pursued by police.

The violent collision occurred around 1:56 a.m. at 16th Street and Mountain Avenue.

According to authorities, at around 1:50 a.m., deputies attempted to pull over a suspected DUI driver in a black 2018 Hyundai near Foothill Boulevard and Archibald Avenue in .

The driver of the Hyundai did not stop, prompting a chase that lasted about six minutes. The Hyundai was traveling at high speeds when it crashed into a white 2010 Ford Mustang and then a pole at 16th Street and Mountain Avenue.

The Hyundai split into three sections and caught fire after the collision.

The Hyundai was occupied by five males, including Guillen and a 13-year-old boy. All the occupants were ejected during the crash. Guillen and three others died at the scene, and the boy was hospitalized for his injuries.

A 35-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from , occupied the Mustang. They were hospitalized as a precaution.

Investigators later determined that the Hyundai had been reported stolen out of . The deputies recovered a loaded firearm on one of the deceased parties.

Deputies from the San Bernardino and Rancho Cucamonga police departments, as well as the Ontario Police Department's aviation unit, were involved in the chase.

Upland, CA. – Four people died following a violent multi-vehicle collision early Friday in Upland, according to a local news source.

The deadly collision happened at around 2:00 a.m. near the West 16th Street and North Mountain Avenue intersection.

Per the report, a high-speed chase involving several law enforcement agencies ended in a multi-vehicle collision. The circumstances that led to the chase were not clear.

Four persons were declared dead at the crash site. Their names were not immediately provided.

No sheriff's deputies or police officials were hurt in the crash.

Debris was scattered throughout the junction including two mangled cars. The wreckage of one vehicle was found on a nearby home's lawn.
