, CA. – The Sheriff's Department has identified the woman who died in a two-vehicle traffic collision at a La intersection about two weeks ago as Madeline Jean Johnson, 85, of La Mesa.

Johnson Died after her Cadillac SUV collided with a Ford sedan at about 3:33 p.m. on June 14 at the intersection of Maple and University Avenues.

Authorities say Johnson was driving the SUV westbound on University Avenue and made a left turn maneuver onto Maple Avenue before colliding with the sedan traveling eastbound on University Avenue.

La Mesa, CA.Authorities are investigating a deadly crash that claimed the life of an elderly woman at an intersection in La Mesa about two weeks ago.

According to a police report, the collision happened at around 3:33 p.m. on June 14 at Maple and University Avenues.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the woman was driving a westbound Cadillac SUV on University Avenue when it turned left onto Maple Avenue and collided with an eastbound Ford sedan.

The woman was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where she died upon arrival.

The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
