Bakersfield, CA. – Authorities are investigating a deadly bicycle crash at Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield Tuesday evening.
According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 6:30 p.m. on June 25 at Stockdale Highway and Allen Road.
The driver was traveling east on Stockdale Highway when for unknown reasons they struck a bicyclist traveling south on Allen Road in the crosswalk.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identity was not immediately disclosed.
More details regarding the mishap were not provided.
An investigation is underway.
