Reportedly, an SUV crashed into a tree and slammed into three vehicles, before overturning.
Monterey Park, CA. – Authorities have identified one person who was among three killed in a traffic collision early Friday morning on East Graves Avenue in Monterey Park.
34-year-old Alexander Cota Jr. was involved in a crash that happened at around 12:34 a.m. June 28 on East Graves Avenue and Cecil Street.
Reportedly, an SUV crashed into a tree and slammed into three vehicles, before overturning.
One person was ejected and ended up on the roof of a nearby house and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cota Jr. and another individual, identified only as an adult, were found inside the SUV following the collision. The two were also pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was located outside the vehicle, assisting her 7-year-old daughter out of the SUV.
Both the mother and daughter were taken to Los Angeles General Medical Center with minor injuries.
An investigation is underway.
