Police said a car traveling east in the westbound lanes of I-84 collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle
Portland, OR – One person was killed in a head-on collision in Northeast Portland on Saturday morning, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
The crash was reported at about 1:32 a.m. June 29, on Interstate 84 near Northeast 162 Avenue.
Police said a car traveling east in the westbound lanes of I-84 collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was taken to a hospital, where the driver was later pronounced deceased.
The other driver was also taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
A section of westbound I-84 was shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
