A 2022 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on the roadway when it broadsided a 2014 Toyota Prius

San Diego, CA. – Three people were seriously injured in a suspected DUI car crash that happened on Sunday evening near Mission Bay in San Diego.
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway near Mission Bay Drive, according to the San Diego Police Department.
A 2022 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 34-year-old man was traveling on the roadway when it broadsided a 2014 Toyota Prius driven by a 76-year-old man.
The driver of the Chevrolet and a 77-year-old female passenger of the Prius sustained serious injuries in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Prius driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the Chevrolet driver displayed symptoms of DUI, but it is unclear whether the man was arrested.
