Washington County, OR. – Elvis Jay Harden of Carlton was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 47 in Washington County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Oregon State Police, the incident happened at around 3:15 p.m. on July 3 on State Route 47 near milepost 22.
The preliminary investigation indicated an Audi Q5, operated by Harden, was on Spring Hill Rd at the stop sign facing westbound and began to make a left turn onto southbound US 47. The Audi entered the path of a northbound Mazda CX5, driven by Ellis, and was struck on the driver's side door.
Harden was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ellis and passengers, Gemmy Wales Cadigan, 40, a 2-year-old male, and a 4-month-old female, suffered minor injuries and were transported for medical treatment.
The incident impacted the freeway for several hours.
An investigation is ongoing.
