According to the California Highway Patrol, Benicki was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle northbound on O'Byrnes Ferry Road when he tried to pass another vehicle

Copperopolis, CA – Ray Benicki, 55, of Jamestown, has been identified as the man who was killed in a motorcycle collision in Copperopolis earlier this month.
At about 9:30 a.m. on July 2, authorities responded to reports of a collision on O'Byrnes Ferry Road near Pyle Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Benicki was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle northbound on O'Byrnes Ferry Road when he tried to pass another vehicle.
The motorcycle reportedly collided head-on with an oncoming 2016 Ford F-250 towing a travel trailer.
The motorcycle got pinned underneath the truck after the collision.
Benicki was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No further details were released.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
