Chula Vista, CA. – The Chula Vista Police Department officials are investigating a major suspected DUI collision that severely injured one person on Friday morning in Chula Vista.
The accident happened at about 3:00 a.m. at the Telegraph Canyon Road and Paseo Ladera intersection.
Police said two vehicles were involved in the crash.

The second driver, identified only as 19-year-old man from National City, sustained minor injuries due to the collision. He was arrested by officials on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The names of the motorists were not immediately released.
Authorities closed Telegraph Canyon Road temporarily between Heritage Road and Medical Center. The road was later re-opened to traffic.
An investigation by the Traffic Bureau is ongoing.
