Man Sustains Fatal Injuries in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident near 32nd Street and Greenway Road

Phoenix, AZ. – On Saturday night, the police responded to a deadly pedestrian crash near 32nd Street in Phoenix.
The Phoenix Police Department said the wreck was reported at about 8 p.m. on July 13 near 32nd Street and Greenway Road.
A preliminary investigation indicated the victim was crossing inside a marked crosswalk but against a do-not-walk signal when he was hit by the car driving east on Greenway Road.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
Impairment was not ruled as a factor in the mishap.
An investigation is ongoing.
