Police said an individual was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Jurupa Street in unclear circumstances.
Ontario, CA. – One person was killed following a pedestrian accident late Monday night in Ontario, according to the Ontario Police Department.
The accident happened at about 11:00 p.m. July 15, at South Milliken Avenue and Jurupa Street, just west of 15 Freeway.
Police said an individual was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Jurupa Street in unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. The victim's name was not immediately released.
Initially, the crash was reported as a hit-and-run but police later confirmed the driver stayed at the crash site and cooperated with authorities.
The Ontario Police Department's Traffic Services Division is investigating the crash.
