, CA. – A man was killed after a suspected DUI pedestrian collision last week Thursday in Lodi.

According to the Lodi Police Department, the accident happened at about 9:40 p.m. on July 11 at Cherokee Lane and Elm Street

Police said a 49-year-old man driving a vehicle at the intersection hit a pedestrian.

The male pedestrian was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. His name was not immediately released awaiting notification of family.

The involved male driver stayed at the scene following the collision. He was arrested for suspected DUI, vehicular manslaughter and other crime-related charges.

An investigation is underway.
