Oxnard, CA. – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision involving a tow truck that happened Thursday afternoon in Oxnard, the California Highway Patrol said.

A white van and a tow truck were involved in the crash.
Dark smoke was coming from the vehicles after the accident.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene and found one person trapped inside one of the vehicles.
One person was hospitalized with major injuries.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
