San Leandro, CA. – Authorities are investigating a major injury car accident that happened on the 580 Freeway in San Leandro on Sunday evening.
At around 6:31 p.m., authorities responded to reports of a car accident on the eastbound lanes of the 580 Freeway near 164th Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol online logs, two cars were involved in the crash. Although the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established, one of the vehicles reportedly overturned after the crash.
At least one person suffered serious injuries in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
