Torrance, CA. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a semi-truck Wednesday night on a freeway in Torrance, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 9:33 p.m. on the northbound 110 Freeway just south of the West Carson Street off-ramp.
A male pedestrian was seen walking in traffic lanes before he was hit by a semi-truck.
The victim was lying in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes after the crash. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.
All northbound lanes of I-110 south of the Carson Street off-ramp remained blocked during the investigation.
