Lancaster, CA.- A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in Lancaster on Friday night, according to the Lancaster Sheriff's Station.
The collision happened on Elm Avenue and Avenue J at about 8:09 p.m. July 26.
Authorities said a woman was walking from the north side of Avenue J to the south side when she was struck by an eastbound Ford Flex driven by a man.
The woman was rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
