Wilmington, CA.- Heidi Gangi, 60, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's Office as the pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Wilmington on Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at about 9:14 p.m. July 31, on the Harbor (110) Freeway near the Anaheim Street exit.
Gangi was reportedly walking in one of the northbound lanes when he was hit by a white hatchback.
CHP said Gangi was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash caused a closure of four northbound lanes of the freeway as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
