Police said a 71-year-old man was riding a bicycle in the area when he was hit by a vehicle.
Chula Vista, CA. – The Chula Vista Police is investigating a major bicycle accident that left a 71-year-old man with severe injuries on Sunday afternoon in Chula Vista, according to Chula Vista Police Department.
The accident happened at around 12:27 p.m. in the 1600 block of Wueste Road in Chula Vista.
Police said a 71-year-old man was riding a bicycle in the area when he was hit by a vehicle.
The US. Border Patrol authorities were first respondents. They found the man with serious injuries due to the collision.
Officers confirmed the driver of the involved vehicle was a Vista woman in her 30s. The authorities arrested the woman for charges unrelated to the crash.
Police did not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a role in the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
