Police said a white pickup truck was traveling west on East Brundage Lane when it struck a pedestrian walking south outside of a crosswalk
Bakersfield, CA.- A man was hit and killed by a vehicle in Bakersfield early Monday morning, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The crash happened in the 4600 block of East Brundage Lane and Quantico Avenue at about 5:12 a.m.
Police said a white pickup truck was traveling west on East Brundage Lane when it struck a pedestrian walking south outside of a crosswalk.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Speed and impairment were not suspected to be factors in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
