Orinda, CA. – Authorities have released the identity of 30-year-old Antioch man killed in a motorcycle accident on State Route 24 in Orinda early Saturday morning.
The CHP said Marcos Amaral died in a wreck that occurred at around 12:05 a.m. on August 10 on Highway 24, east of Saint Stephens Drive.
Amaral was traveling westbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a BMW SUV.
Amaral was declared deceased at the crash site.
An investigation is underway.

Contra Costa, CA. – One person died in a motorcycle accident that occurred early Saturday morning in Orinda.
The fatal crash was reported around 12:04 a.m. on Highway 24 near Saint Stephens Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol online logs.
A vehicle is reported to have collided with a motorcycle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
As per the report, one person was killed in the accident.
The name of the person who died in the crash was not immediately disclosed.
