Goleta, CA. – 30-year-old Jose Regalado Jr. of Fillmore was identified as a male pedestrian killed in a crash last week Thursday afternoon on State Route 101 in Goleta.
The CHP responded to the deadly wreck at around 12:39 p.m. August 15 on Highway 101 near Las Varas Canyon Road.
Reportedly, Timothy Bee, 76, of Solvang, was traveling in his Chevrolet Suburban in the right-hand lane. For unknown reasons, he veered to the right onto the shoulder and hit Regalado Jr.
Despite life-saving measures, Regalado Jr. died at the crash site.
No further information about the accident was available.
An investigation is underway.
