San Marcos, CA. – 76-year-old Francisca Garcia Vargas of San Marcos was identified as a female pedestrian killed in a crash at South Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos Friday night.
According to the CHP, the crash happened at around 9:07 p.m. September 6 at South Twin Oaks Valley Road and North City Drive.
Vargas was struck by a sedan for reasons not yet established.
Vargas was rushed to Palomar Medical Center, where she died upon arrival.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
